As we face a more uncertain world the skills taught in schools are not enough and in some cases will become irrelevant in the future.
Graduates are unemployable. Core skills required are problem solving, communication and adaptability which are missing.
Jobs will be affected in the form of new job creation or destruction of old jobs. This is from 2025-30. Most of the school going children will join workforce after 10 years.
Children in school have a mental health issue in any given year. The number dramatically increases if incidents of extreme emotions are considered.
We believe we need to intentionally teach skills the future needs. Going forward emotional intelligence, problem solving and creativity, entrepreneurial skills and mindset, and financial literacy will be key to thrive in career and for holistic wellbeing.
